Different Perspectives

Yesterday I was looking around for things to shoot and these flowers caught my eye.  I was trying to shoot them in different ways to see which ones I preferred.  The attached would be my favourite.  Apart from shooting from different angles, I also post processed them in different ways.

Both shots taken with a Pentax K20D and Sigma 24-70 DG EX.

F4, ISO 100, 1/180s, 60mm.

  1. The duo is stunning Shane. as you know I really like minimalistic shots and this is a ripper. to me the colour shot is a little too busy and the eye darts around and can't settle on anything. The duo on theother hand draws the eye to the whiteness of the flower, then the black stamens, then you realise the black ones on the right....so yummy beautiful "colour"

  2. Thanks Suellen. I don't know what it is about the colour shot, but it does really suck me in...maybe it's the vibrance of the colours?
Glad the second one is to your liking, definitely my favourite of the day.
